Within eyeshot of the Acorn Portal, the bats hold sacred 7 glorious artifacts. At one time lost in both proximity and in the collective memory of the group, recent revelations have yielded information regarding them and their whereabouts. A team of archaeologists handpicked and including members of the Mosquito Gang embarked on separate missions to different distant lands to restore these artifacts, in the form of magnificent opals, to their rightful home.
The bats periodically ponder the artifacts and, reciting mantras, are able to remote-view a wonderful array of mundane happenings within the stones. They are worlds within worlds and the history of everyday life deep beyond the glassy surface helps all to glimpse the cosmic embroidery and instills a sense of responsibility...and therefore LOVE.
this album is a multimedia collaboration with jen lee mullins, whose micro portraits of opals inspired the collection of songs herein.
