The fifth artifact was retrieved by the Fifth Ornithological Union on a cold winter day. The crew, cuddled in crew necks and pea coats, crooned together poetically in its presence and the bats back home became convinced of a deep chiroptemorphic sympathy radiating from within. They placed it on a hearth which graced the common room of the group's most favorable tree house (a stately yellow poplar to this day) and no sooner had it reached its resting place than did a flock of wrens come asking for residency in the vacant gourds hanging from the eaves outside.
